WELCOME

The Association came into being in October 2004.

Membership of the Association is open to all retired employees and retired former employees of the University, in all categories, including semi-retired employees. Joint membership with spouse or partner is also available at no extra cost.

Members pay an annual subscription, currently £6. Our latest Membership count stands at 349.

Various general social events take place throughout the year, including a Coffee Morning on the last Tuesday of most months. There are also a number of Special Interest Groups who organize more specific activities.

What's New

The May UERSA Newsletter (No. 27) has been circulated, and you can download a pdf file copy from this link. It contains details of recent and future activities, general UERSA and University news items, and a message from the Chairman. An application form for the Summer Garden Party is also included.

The Walking Group has issued its second Newsletter of the year, detailing six events. hole Reports for walks already walked are also included.

Full details of the first four Gardens Group visits for 2013 are now available, plus advance notice of a visit in July. Reports of the first two visits have been posted.

The Wine Group has circulated details of the next Tasting Event on 6th June, with advance notice of events planned in October and November.

The Restaurant Group has issued details of the next visits, in May and June. Advance notice of the July event has been added.

Dates for Badminton Group meetings until the end of June have been arranged. There are restrictions on dates available for this period - see the Group page for details.

The Music and Opera Group has a visit booked in December, with advance notice of another in March 2014.

Due to low take-up, the trip to the GWR Museum at Swindon, on 23rd May, has been cancelled.

David (Batty) and John (Carroll) will host a guided tour of Topsham on 16th July.

Bruce (Coleman) is organizing a visit to Stratford in September, to see a performance of "Hamlet". An update on the arrangements so far has been posted on the Events page.

Our Coffee Mornings at The Imperial resumed on Tuesday 29th January. Dates booked until June are in the Calendar. Please note there will be no meetings in July or August.

The date for our Annual Garden Party has now been confirmed as Tuesday 2nd July. It will take place as usual at the Exeter Cricket Club.

Our Christmas Lunch date has been confirmed as Tuesday 10th December, at The Devon Hotel.
