Perhaps for the first time the CELP group brings together in one location a closely coordinated inter-disciplinary team of research and development specialists. The integrated and holistic perspective of CELP draws from the skills and experience of the Marine Spatial Ecology Lab (MSEL) and IMM Ltd, whose shared capacity includes:
  • Skills and experience covering a broad spectrum of disciplines - from the biophysical to the socio-economic - with the capacity to integrate research and policy over a wide range of scales;

  • A wide range of experience around the world, including the Pacific, South and Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Caribbean and Latin America;

  • Well established networks with local, national, regional and global institutions and agencies;

  • Versatile service delivery ranging from the implementation of field research and development activities, the management of projects and the provision of consultancy services.
MSEL and IMM Ltd also bring specific skills and experience to the group, including:

  • Improving the cost-effectiveness of habitat mapping for tropical coastal management
  • Production of training materials (e.g. for coastal remote sensing)

IMM Ltd is an international research, development and policy group with a mission to play a major long-term role in sustainably reducing global poverty. IMM activities include:
  • Policy research, analysis, planning, formulation, implementation and monitoring
